enchantedengland: Hornby Castle is a country house developed from a mediaeval castle, in the Lune Valley of county Lancashire in the North West of England. The castle was originally built for the Neville family in the 13th century and is now privately owned. The owners do allow garden views for Special Events on Advertised Dates, however, so you be grateful for that.

Another pretty pretty Cotswolds cottage in Gloucestershire, England, because everybody likes pretty cottages. (Including myself) GUESS WHAT! I should not mention this maybe but that has never stopped me before so why now? I am extremely excited because I am getting close to a follower number that is REALLY AWESOME AND STARTS WITH A THREE! I have probably jinxed myself now but MAYBE NOT.(image from Anything Beautiful on flickr)

That’s because your blog is not just another boring ass photoblog. Your blog has soul. You deserve it Cheri. : )

This is a local bank in Chester, England. MY bank does not look like this. As in, not the slightest little bit. I am going to print out this photo and show it to the bank manager, because he has some major renovations to do and he needs to get on it. (image JayT47 on beautyineverything.com)

Hever Castle is located in the village of Hever near EdenbridgeKent, 30 miles (48 km) south-east of London, England. It began as a country house, built in the 13th century. From 1462 to 1539 it was the seat of the Boleyn, originally ‘Bullen’, family. three men died during its construction.

Anne Boleyn, the second queen consort of King Henry VIII of England, spent her early youth there, after her father, Thomas Boleyn had inherited it in 1505. He had been born there in 1477, and the castle passed to him upon the death of his father, SirWilliam Boleyn.

It later came into the possession of King Henry’s fourth wife, Anne of Cleves.

Today it is a popular destination and makes a lovely day trip. Especially when “Merrie England” weekend is going on.
